How can I hear those "old ladies" screaming, if i'm not actually near them?Į.g. I got your point, but I see those messages in the wild, far away from the city (market). You can see that middle ages was the same, as Silk Road trading or any historical example. As of zone chat it's same thing in real life, walk by any flea market with tons of screaming old ladies and you'll see this world chat in person. You don't need something - just trade or sell it. Maybe the chat will be "empty" for a while, but we'll the possibility for actually talking about the game, and not about any others' games aspects (selling/buying items, join into clan/guild). I think that we need to go into trading, lfg, selling and invite channels. All my chat's window is filled with same generic guildes' invites, thus I have to scroll up to find important messages. I don't really care about the first two, as those messages aren't "spammed" all over.īut, the guildes' invites - that's rude!.

Trading post (aka WTS free items for 20k gold), lfg dungeon/trial/pledge/etc or guild invite post. Watching capitalists who have grown tired of playing the actual game posting thier sales 24/7 is a real immersion breaker.

What about the REAL gamers who want escapism and to adventure.
